Project Description
This was the adaptation of an American Vacation Bible School program into Arabic. The main title says, “Balloon Adventure.” The subtitle says, “The Power of Faith in the Life of the Children of God.” The design challenge was to develop custom letterforms for the title.
The Arabic language uses a series of dots, both above and below the letters. A single letter can have the sounds of either en, be, te, se or ye, depending on the number and placement of the dots. Sometimes two dots are represented by a dash. That’s what has been done here. The balloon basket, as a dash, represents two dots above the final letter in the second word.
